Ever wanted to grow your own peas, lettuce, herbs, broccoli, kale, cabbage, carrots, beets, potatoes, calendula, nasturtium? Let’s help you prepare for an early spring kitchen garden!

This workshop is open to beginner growers as well as those who have tried out summer veggies or flowers but want to learn how to build in cool season veggies plus get a head start on flowers for the year.

At this workshop, you’ll learn:
-How to prepare your raised beds, containers or in-ground garden for cool weather plant lovers
-Which veggies and flowers you can sow directly in the garden and when to get started
-Which plants are best purchased as seedlings and transplanted into the garden
-How to incorporate spring plants with the veggies and flowers you will want space for in the summer
-Spring pests to anticipate and organic solutions
-When to cover plants during cold weather

You’ll leave with:
-Planting timelines for our growing area
-A spring seed collection of easy-to-sow veggies and flowers to take home

Workshop will take place in the heated back building at our home in Woodland Heights near Forest Hill Park. I will send more specific directions to registered participants.
